João Silva, naturally from Braga, begins his journey in the photography world in 2012.
In 2014, he comes in 2nd place in a competition promoted by British Council regarding the Artist Bienal in Lisbon.
At the end of 2014, he starts an internship at Público newspaper, and after that, he keeps working as a collaborator.
In the 2015 edition of the most prestigious photojournalism prize in Portugal, Estação Imagem, he is the youngest photographer awarded, with 2nd place in the Contemporary Issues category with his project "Paralelos".
With the Project "Do Teu Ombro Vejo o Mundo" he was granted the Novos Talentos FNAC in 2022.
Among several publications and collaborations with different media, he stood out in 2021 when he publishes his work “Gameness” at the Washington Post.
Since 2020 is the Sporting Clube de Braga's official photographer.

João Silva, natural de Braga, inicia-se no mundo da fotografia em 2012. De forma auto didata e com um gosto especial direcionado para o fotojornalismo, começou então a desenvolver portfolio na área.
Em 2014 muda-se para Lisboa e apesar de uma breve passagem pela Ar.Co, no final do ano entra para o jornal Público como estagiário e onde posteriormente fica como colaborador.
Na edição de 2015 do Prémio de Fotojornalismo Estação Imagem fica em segundo lugar na categoria Assuntos Contemporâneos com o projeto "Paralelos".
Entre várias publicações e colaborações com diferentes orgãos de Comunicação Social destaca-se em 2021 quando publica no Washington Post o seu trabalho “Gameness”.
Na edição do prémio Novos Talentos Fnac de 2022 é vencedor na categoria de Fotografia com o projecto “Do Teu Ombro Vejo o Mundo”.
Actualmente é o fotografo oficial do Sporting Clube de Braga.
